Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Executive to assist in transferring spare parts data from a manufacturer’s manual into our Shipping PMS (Parts Management System) database. This role requires accuracy and speed in handling large amounts of information and ensuring that the data is correctly entered and formatted according to our specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data capture: Accurately extract spare parts data (part numbers, parts names, descriptions, specifications, quantities, etc.) from the maker’s manual and input it into the Shipping PMS database.
  • Database management: Maintain and update the PMS database with new or corrected spare parts data, ensuring integrity and consistency across all entries.
  • Quality control: Perform regular quality checks on data entered to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Data formatting: Organize and categorize data according to predefined structures to ensure consistency in the database.

KEY ACCOUNTABLES
• To Manage a team consisting of Marine or Mechanical Engineers (JMEs), Process Associate and Data Entry personnel for creation of Ships PMS (Planned Maintenance System) databases.
• To Communicate with Maritime clients regarding the Project Status, timelines, and other issues if any.
• To Work on various Maritime, Shipping, Oil and Gas PMS, (Planned Maintenance System), projects.
• To Guide JMEs regarding the process of updating and amending the system Database as required.
• To Review and if necessary guide to correct and consolidate the database content.
• To Create or amend Work Procedures as required.
• To Monitor Team’s work schedules and amend as required.
• To Prepare and present reports for Ship Managers, Superintendents and Senior Management.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Degree in Marine Engineering.
• At least 6 months in the rank of 3rd Engineer with good machinery knowledge of ships.
• Hands on experience in PMS software’s like AMOS, Sertica, Shipnet, DNV-GL, KAPA, Ship manager & NS5.
• Well-versed with Marine Equipment and its maintenance planning and strict compliance in the system.
• Able to understand user requirements and the implementation of proposed Software.
• A good understanding of the enterprise computing needs of ship management companies.

  • Lead marine PMS projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client requirements.
